Mailroom Associate I

Onsite-Baton Rouge, LA

Schedule:

This is a full-time position. Saturday- Friday from 4:30 AM until work is complete. One Day off during the week.

Hourly rate $12.75

Purpose:

• Provided support to business operations document/transaction content management.
• Provides administrative support to business operations by performing processing tasks such as data entry or similar activities.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to meet the requirements of a background check and drug screening.
• General office skills to include minimal experience in data entry and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in multiple programs simultaneously.
• Good attendance/punctuality
• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Duties:

• Receive and sort mail delivered from the US Postal Office.
• Open and prepare mail for imaging to internal application per site policy and procedural rules.
• Operates the different job procedures on an OPEX high speed scanner for internal application.
• Feeds documents into scanner assuring proper alignment, imprint of doc number, readability in accordance with the computer software, ensures the images are legible.
• Complies completed work from scanner and batches for labeling storage to the warehouse and destruction.
• Keeps Management informed of potential processing issues and equipment problems.
• Scan mail using OPEX scanning equipment to internal application for processing.
• General data entry to database systems.
• General machine cleaning/daily maintenance.

• May perform processing tasks in one or more of the following areas:
  • Data Entry
  • Ensures accuracy and data completeness.
  • Performs clerical tasks in the data entry function.
• Performs other duties as assigned as required by management.

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business needs, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, The estimated pay for this role is $ 12.75/hr per hour.
