Job Description:

Description We are seeking a Mailroom Associate to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will be tasked with utility invoice extraction, sorting, and review adhering to the guidelines of the department and our clients. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities include: Extracting mail from envelopes and separating invoices, mail inserts, checks, terms, and invoices based on various factors. Utilizing multiple separator sheets to organize utility bills before scanning. Performing a manual review of utility invoices to ensure compliance with customer and department procedures. Identifying and separating bills which do not meet client and/or department standard procedures, and forwarding them to the lead for review. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of client and departmental procedures and discarding outdated procedures. Troubleshooting minor issues on the mail opening machine as necessary. Maintaining a professional appearance in the work area at all times. Taking initiative in presenting problems and potential solutions to lead or supervisor. Assisting with other duties as needed or assigned. Requirements Demonstrable experience in a mailroom or production environment Proficiency in using spreadsheets for data management Proven customer service skills, with a focus on providing prompt and effective service Knowledge of mailroom procedures and department procedures Experience in sorting incoming mail in a timely and efficient manner Ability to review and process invoices accurately Experience in supervising a team, with a focus on production and efficiency Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment or procedural issues in a mailroom setting Demonstrable skills in managing time effectively, with the ability to handle overtime when necessary Knowledge of check processing, including accuracy and compliance Ability to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards Experience in using ARM (Adjustable Rate Mortgage) systems and QA (Quality Assurance) management Ability to adapt to a fast-paced production environment and manage tasks efficiently.
