Job Title: Mailroom Clerk Job Description Th role is essential for processing and batching checks and other payment documents received through a lockbox service. This position ensures timely and accurate processing of payments for various clients, typically within a banking or financial services environment. Responsibilities
  • Open, sort, and organize incoming mail containing checks and payment documents.
  • Accurately batch checks and payment documents according to client specifications and prepare them for further processing.
  • Enter payment information into the system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure all batches are processed correctly and meet required standards.
  • Operate and maintain processing equipment, such as scanners and sorting machines.
  • Maintain detailed records of processed batches, including any discrepancies or issues encountered.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding lockbox details and resolve any issues related to payment processing.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies, ensuring the security and confidentiality of client information.
Essential Skills
  • Proficient in data entry with a minimum speed of 8,000 KPH.
  • Experience with clerical tasks and data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Typing skills (Typing test required).
  • 2+ years of data entry experience.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to operate and maintain processing equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
Work Environment This role is based in Malden, MA, in a facility with over 20 people involved in batching and data entry. The working hours are from 9 AM to 5:30 PM. The environment is dynamic and provides room to grow within the organization into other roles.
