Responsibilities:
Brasfield & Gorrie, a recognized leader in the construction industry, has an exciting opportunity available for a Mailroom Clerk in the Birmingham office.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Responsible for USPS mail processing (pickup, sorting, filing, internal delivery, maintenance to processing equipment, certified mail processing, etc.)
- Provides support to the organization for shipment of goods-US Mail; FedEx (packaging, order processing) or other
- Data entry in computer for FedEx shipping
- Provides and coordinates local delivery to and pickup from US Postal facilities
- Provides coverage in the Shipping/Receiving area
- Logging in and distribution of FedEx, UPS, and USPS packages
- Maintains awareness of mechanical condition of Brasfield & Gorrie mail vehicle and arranges for maintenance as needed
- Sort mail/packages and group into categories for safe handling during delivery to various buildings on campus
- Provides support for internal delivery of packages, etc., to and from employee offices or other buildings within the corporate campus.
- Assist employees with weighing packages/envelopes to determine proper postage amount
- Maintain mailroom in organized manor
- Must be capable of lifting heavy packages/boxes
- Provides miscellaneous support for the Maintenance Services Coordinators as requested
Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience:
Education/Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license
- Two years of work experience in an office service capacity
- Good communication skills
- Organizational skills with ability to multitask
- Possess and maintain a good driving record
