We are seeking an experienced, Service Technician to join our team in Glenmont, NY. We build our teams with talented, motivated people who have a passion for service and the drive to create an outstanding living environment for our residents.The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the property in a safe, efficient, and quality manner. This position will assist in all phases of maintenance operations.RESPONSIBILITIES The responsibilities that are listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of responsibilities normally performed by the Service Technician:•Completes maintenance work orders as assigned •Completes daily work schedules for routine maintenance duties •Paints, cleans, completes maintenance items, and all other items required for the completion of the unit under renovation •Notifies Service Supervisor and Property Manager of all problems and potential issues of concern •Handles emergency situations that may arise, and communicates all details of the incident to the Property Manager •Participates in on-call schedule and responds to after-hours incidents •Performs all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipment •Interacts in a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees •Actively participates and follows the safety and health programs •Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materials •Other duties as assigned by the manager QUALIFICATIONS •Minimum High School Education or equivalent •Minimum three (3) years full time maintenance experience including painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, plowing, etc. •Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and heating systems •Valid driver's license •Excellent communication and customer service skills •Ability to solve problems involving residents, emergency situations, etc. •Basic computer skills for completing online work orders •Works well in a team environment and demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level •Willing to work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds SCOPE + COMPENSATION •Minimum forty (40) hours per week; additional hours as required.
