Location: Sherwood,AR, USA
Handling the repair and maintenance of the wastewater facilities and collection system.
* Maintains grounds and outbuildings at wastewater treatment plan; clean, mow, and trim
* Repair and replace wastewater mains, service line and manholes as directed
* Replace worn and damaged parts at treatment plant for routine operation and maintenance
* Inspect and maintain wastewater manholes and pump stations
* Operate and repair equipment such as lawn mower, weed trimmer, edger, pumps, air compressors, and jackhammer
* Operate equipment for point repairs and other construction projects
* Communicate and work with customers for troubleshooting and public relations
* Respond to call back within fifteen minutes and physically on worksite within thirty minutes for on call and emergency sewer calls
* Will be a member of line cleaning crew and will take direction from crew chief
* The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
* Perform other duties as assigned and/or required.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position. Must obtain a valid Arkansas Class A (Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License within one year of employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position. Must obtain a Class I Wastewater Operator license within one year of employment. If ADEQ establishes a Collection System Operators license this license will be required in lieu of Class I Wastewater Operator. Must be available to be on-call for week shifts at a time with other co-workers. Ability to maintain accurate records, type and enter data accurately. Ability to effectively communicate on a one-on-one basis with others. Ability to maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with other employees, department officials and the public. Ability to report to work each scheduled day, and on time.
