JOB DUTIES:The maintenance trainee will complete 4 EEAS class at Joliet Junior College. EEAS 101 Basic wiring and circuit design, EEAS 111 & 113 Industrial controls I & II, and EEAS 115 Electrical / electronic troubleshooting. A strong recommendation to complete EEAS 240 Motors and drives. The maintenance trainee will work closely with the shop mechanics to gain the plant specific skill sets to work independently and progress to an Apprentice Mechanic to perform facility and plant equipment repairs, conduct daily inspections and root cause investigation of failures. - Must adhere to all safety programs and policies. - Maintains plant equipment by interpreting shop manuals and schematic drawings and through verbal instruction from supervision/co-workers. - Must have mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity and ability to use hand and power tools correctly and safely. - Must be able to operate shop equipment such as welders, lathes, grinders, and mills safely and accurately. - Ability to...Apprentice, 2nd Shift, Maintenance, Forklift Operator, Maintenance Mechanic, Equipment Repair, Manufacturing
