Location: White Plains,NY, USA
We are an affordable housing development for seniors located in White Plains, NY. The property consists of 8 separate garden-style buildings with 74 residential housing units spread across 7 acres.
The main responsibilities and REQUIRED SKILLS of the Maintenance Assistant will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting the Superintendent with maintenance issues throughout the property and in resident units.
Light plumbing, electric, painting, and handyman repairs as needed. (MUST HAVE GENERAL HANDYMAN SKILLS)
Landscaping, mowing, weed-wacking, leaf cleanup, etc. (MINIMUM 5 YEARS LANDSCAPING KNOWLEDGE)
Snow removal - will need to be on call
Cleaning vacant units to make them ready for new move-ins
Painting
Delivering notices to the residents
Cleaning, mopping and general upkeep of all common area hallways, laundry rooms, management office, and community space
Upkeep of the grounds and parking lots
Garbage removal
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. This is non-negotiable.
MUST LIVE LOCAL TO WHITE PLAINS AS YOU WILL BE OCCASIONALLY ON CALL FOR AFTER HOURS EMERGENCIES / SNOW.
This is a full time position and will require being on-call on the weekends occasionally. A company cell phone will be provided.
Salary will be determined based on skills and experience.
