Legends Healthcare is a premier long term care company, operating twenty one long term care facilities throughout the state of Ohio and is now hiring Full-Time Maintenence Assistant at Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing & Rehab Cener, located at 6831 Chapel Rd, Madison, OH 44057.

We are currently seeking a skilled, compassionate, dedicated, and driven experienced maintence specialist to join our ever grwoing team!

Purpose:

The primary purpose of the position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

Working Conditions:

Works throughout the facility (i.e. office, power rooms, resident rooms, therapy rooms, Dietary, etc.) sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours. Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary. Is required to be on-call for emergency situations. May be exposed to chemicals, infectious waste, diseases, odors, various conditions, etc. May be required to work in cramped spaces and in adverse weather conditions.

Education and Experience:

Must possess, as a minimum, a High School Diploma/or equivalent. Must have a working knowledge of blueprint reading, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, mechanis, hydraulics and refrigeration. Must be knowledgeable in building codes and Life Safety regulations. Must have a thorough knowledge of general building arid equipment maintenance.

Staff Development:

Participate in a Hazardous Communication and Universal Precautions Training Program as established by current CDC, ODH, OSHA guidelines. Safety and Sanitation: Supervise safety and fire protection and prevention programs by inspecting work areas and equipment at lease weekly. Follow established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies at all times. Assure that supplies, equipment, etc., are maintained to provide a safe and comfortable environment. Assist in developing and implementing waste disposal policies and procedures for the Maintenance Department. Promptly report equipment or facility damage to the Administrator. Other duties that may become necessary/appropriate to assure that the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

Equipment and Supply Functions:

Recommend to the Administrator the equipment and suppy needs of the department. Place orders for equipment and supplies as approved by the Administrator. Make periodic rounds to check equipment and to assure that necessary equipment is available and working properly. Maintain inventory of tools, equipment and supplies.
