  • Schedule and complete work repair orders from the Property Manager.
  • Work overtime in an emergency or arrive early to complete needed repairs with limited disruption of residence and operations.
  • Use back guard provided when doing any substantial lifting or moving.
  • Support the mission statement of The Salvation Army.
  • Additional InformationMinimum Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, certifications,skills, and/or abilities required for this position. (Be clear about what is required vs. preferred)Education Experience:General knowledge of maintenance and repair of industrial facilities. Practical and varied experience in improvising repair and/or troubleshooting.Language Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak one-on-one and in small groups to employees and clients.Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Clerical/Mathematical Skills:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Supervisory Responsibility:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must maintain a valid driver's license and qualify to drive The Salvation Army vehicles.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally move and/or lift up to 100 pounds. Travel:Able and willing to travel to each of the center properties on a regular basis.Working Conditions:This employee will work in a multiplicity of environments from office to warehouse to store.
