Summary

Responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain the overall functionality and appearance of the facility, including minor repairs, basic plumbing, routine cleaning, and upkeep of outdoor areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Minor Repairs: Carry out minor repairs, such as fixing doors, locks, door frames, and handles. Replace light bulbs, sockets, switches, and window glass as needed.
  • Basic Plumbing: Perform basic plumbing tasks, including unclogging drains and repairing leaking faucets and toilets.
  • Routine Cleaning: Conduct regular cleaning tasks, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain a clean environment.
  • Outdoor Maintenance: Maintain outdoor areas by mowing, trimming, and edging the lawn, as well as shoveling snow and ice during winter months.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect control panels and electrical wiring to identify and address any issues requiring immediate attention.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of maintenance supplies and notify the Supervisor when supplies are low or depleted.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency repair and clean-up requests to ensure the safety and functionality of the facility.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all maintenance equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Proven general maintenance experience

Equipment

Sound knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical wiring. Experience using hand, electrical tools and lawn equipment required.

The ability to safely operate hand and power tools as well as cleaning equipment.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid Texas Driver's License. Driving record must be acceptable to the FCC automobile liability insurance provider.
