Job Description:

Painting and Light Maintenance

As our Maintenance Assistant, you'll be the hero behind keeping our community running smoothly. You'll address maintenance and repair needs, ensuring that our residents enjoy a safe and comfortable environment.

What you'll be doing:

* Performs preventive maintenance according to Volante Senior Living policies and procedures in order to assure the building and its contents remain operable and in good condition.

* Assist with move-in/out details. Prepare/repair rooms for resident use.

* Test and maintain safety equipment, fire alarm systems, smoke detectors, and emergency call systems.

* Repair plumbing fixtures (e.g., leaky faucets, toilets, sinks, drain, valves, water lines, ball cocks). Plunge toilets, sink, and floor drains.

* Repair electrical apparatus, (e.g., lights, switches, outlets, motors, icemakers, and appliances). Replace overhead light bulbs.

* Repair appliances (e.g., garbage disposal, dishwashers, icemakers, laundry equipment, stoves, heating and air conditioning equipment, commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, telephone systems, nurse call systems).

* Performs preventive maintenance according to Volante Senior Living policies and procedures in order to assure the building and its contents remain operable and in good condition.

* Handles all chemicals according to manufacturer's directions. Keeps all chemicals under lock and key when not in use for safety of residents.

* Performs Fire, Tornado, and other disaster drills as necessary to prepare staff and residents for an emergency and to satisfy the requirements of State Regulations.

* Perform removal, installation, and repair/rebuilding of A/C equipment

* High School diploma or equivalent and degree or certificate from a two-year technical school program preferred.

* Previous work experience in a similar capacity.

* May be required to hold valid First Aid Certification.
