MaintenanceAssistant to join our team. This position is fulltime or parttime, with flexible hours and includes beingresponsible for the care of our residents' suites, their gathering and socialspaces in the community, assisting with the major and minor mechanical systemsof the building, and the building exterior and grounds. Experience in facilitiesmaintenance, equipment repair, interior painting and/or wall repair,groundskeeping, safety programs is a plus. SKILLS NEEDED: - Good customer service skills, theability to intuit, and problem solve
- Skilled in the use of hand and powertools
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge necessary to perform commonhousehold repairs and touch-up painting
- Ability to pivot, change direction andaccomplish tasks with innovative approaches
- Detail orientation, demonstratedfollow up and documentation abilities
- Ability to safely operate varioustypes of cleaning equipment
- Ability to take feedback andincorporate it into your efforts
- An understanding of or the ability tolearn basic maintenance and housekeeping practices
- Proven track record of being hardworkingwith a get it done attitude
- An understanding or the willingness togain an understanding of the various forms of dementia and how residents withdementia can continue live with purpose
RELATABLE EXPERIENCE: - Prior experience working in seniors housing as a Maintenance Assistant
- Prior experience working in an apartment/condo complex, hospitality center or hotel as a Maintenance Assistant
- Jobs or volunteer assignments that have given you opportunities to provide maintenance and or housekeeping services
- Other roles that have included hands on multi-unit maintenance experience
- Experience in customer service, warehouse, military, industrial or technical environments
- Roles in which you have been amulti-tasker in a preventative maintenance or similar setting
- Jobs that included various forms ofrepair work and preventative maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS:1- At least 21 years of age 2- Ability to obtain CPR & First AidCertification 3- Current negative TB test 4- Possess the ability to sit, stand, bend,and move continuously during work hours 5- Ability to carry or transfer up to 50lbswith assistance 6- Ability to pass criminalrecord/background check 7- Be efficient and exercise good timemanagement skills 8- Must be able to work wellindependently with little oversight 9- Must have a track record of top-notchorganizational abilities and communication skills 10- Capability with hand and power tools 11- Valid driver license with cleandriving abstract 12- Willing to attend and incorporate intoyour work efforts different types of training As an organization we offer our team members agood benefits package, the ability to be heard, have their opinions aboutthings count and the opportunity to innovate. Our compensation package will be flexible for this role based on thecredentialing, tenure and skill sets each candidate brings forconsideration. The hourly wage range forthis position is $18.00 to $23.00 per hour. Prior experience working with seniors is a plus.
