We are committed to providing an exceptional quality of life for our residents, and we are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our community team.

Position Overview:

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning of our physical plant, mechanical equipment, and systems. Your commitment to routine and preventative maintenance will help us maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff, representing the community positively.

* Conduct daily inspections to ensure all public area light bulbs are operational.

* Respond to resident requests for maintenance through our work order program, addressing plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues.

* Perform general maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, and kitchen equipment repairs.

* Maintain organized storage and equipment areas, ensuring all tools and supplies are readily accessible.

* Complete painting projects in common and office areas as needed.

* Prepare empty apartments for new residents within a five-day turnaround time.

* Ensure exterior grounds are clean and well-maintained, including snow removal and landscaping upkeep.

* Assist in the preventative maintenance program and respond to resident emergencies.

* Help relieve front desk breaks and transport guests as required.

* Maintain a professional appearance and work productively with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

* Prior experience in janitorial or maintenance work is preferred, with familiarity in minor repairs for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

* High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in a related field is a plus.

* Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.

* Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.

* Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the day.

* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
