Promenade at Chestnut Ridge -
Summary: Specifically assigned to clean all bedrooms, bathrooms, sitting rooms, foyers, floors and walls, offices, and any area that would be assigned by the maintenance supervisor or director.
Reports To: Director of Maintenance
Qualifications:
- Possess the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Work as a team member with other staff members to consistently maintain a kind, caring and respectful attitude toward residents, residents' families, guests and fellow staff.
- Be sensitive to the special needs of the seniors and demonstrate a genuine caring
- attitude.
- Encourage residents' maximum independence, promote residents' freedom of choice and individuality, and respect the privacy of all residents.
- Able to read, write and communicate in English
- Like working with seniors
- May require lifting or bending. Must be able to lift 25-35 pounds
Duties:
- Duties are including but not excluding any direction that administration may feel is needed for the safety and comfort of the residents.
- Maintenance and repair of facility and grounds. This includes:
- Shampooing of carpets and waxing of floors, cleaning of furniture
- Painting, minor plumbing, furniture repairs
- Set-up and break-down of activity and public relations events
- Cleaning of walls, baseboards, and doors
- Empty trash
- Snow removal, grounds upkeep in conjunction with contract services
- Keep wash areas stocked with soap and towels\
- General vacuuming, dusting, cleaning mirrors and windows, cleaning toilets, sinks, tubs, showers, floors
- General cleaning and sanitizing
- General repair and replacing of light bulbs, broken fixtures, toilet and towel holders
- Use prescribed infection control procedures
- Report any unsafe, unsanitary and /or unusual conditions
- Maintain maintenance storage rooms in appropriate fashion'
- Maintain maintenance supplies in appropriate areas
- Check and complete routine maintenance needs per schedule (i.e. water temperatures, fire equipment, light bulbs, etc)
- Maintain and handle equipment in an appropriate manner
- Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, courteous manner with resident satisfaction a priority.
