Hourly Rate - $15.00 up to $20.00 per hour with an opportunity to develop into a Maintenance DirectorCome join our team as a Maintenance Assistant at our state of the art, skilled nursing facility. The position works with the maintenance director to assist with organizing, directing and supervising operation of power plant and maintenance and repair program involving buildings and grounds. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with basic facility repair of property, equipment and grounds.
- Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on facility equipment except those services performed under service contract with outside contractors.
- Runs errands, handles incoming and outgoing freight, lifts and moves heavy furniture and equipment.
- Provides routine inspection of property and equipment and maintains adequate records of work.
- Performs occasional paid on call duty for emergencies as needed by Administrator and Maintenance Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate or G.E.D equivalent, technical degree or associate degree preferred but not required.
- Willing to learn, able to follow directions and have good attention to detail
