Maintenance Associate - $27.31/hrPosition Title: Maintenance AssociatePay Rate: $27.31/hr.Retention Bonus: $500 after 1 year, additional lump sum after 2 yearsCategory/Shift: Hourly Full-Time 1st Shift during Training ProgramPhysical Location: Murfreesboro Container, 2220 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37129The Job You Will Perform:International Paper has a need for a Maintenance Associate at our Murfreesboro plant! We offer an innovative work schedule, excellent wage and benefit package, and advancement opportunities. This facility manufactures corrugated packaging products for local and national customers. We are looking for motivated individuals who are capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced production environment. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity. Our plant operates 24/7 with 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm, 7pm-7am). This position will be for the off shift after training.This position is an entry-level position in the maintenance department. This is a learning  position and generally works along with more experienced mechanics to obtain OJT training.Primary responsibilities include:Following all safety rules and practices;Mechanic helper on shift;Ability to operate shop/hand tools (grinder and drill press) in a safe manner;Learn to lubricate/oil all machine centers;Become an IP licensed motorized equipment operator;Gain hydraulic knowledge;Gain basic pneumatic knowledge;Gain ability to identify power sources;Learn how to reference equipment manuals;Learn SAP work order system;Maintaining teamwork with other associates;Maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping;Must be willing to work any assigned shift: 24/7 or 24/5 PM maintenance support team;Possess a positive work attitude;Able to work well in a team environment and equally as well in an individual setting;Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or designee.The Skills You Will Bring:Must pass the AON Hewitt test, a requirement for employment as a maintenance technician with International Paper, panel interview, background check, employment verification, health assessment, and drug screen.Safety mentality is a must and reliability with attendance and quality of work is expected.Excellent teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving skills.Willingness to fully cross-train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.Willing to be flexible and able to work second and third shifts, call-ins, holidays, and overtime as there is a constant demand for overtime in our maintenance department.Systems oriented and able to work with computer systems for maintenance processes, stores, and work orders.The Benefits You Will Enjoy:$500 bonus retention after 1 yearAdditional lump sum after 2 yearsMedical insuranceDental insuranceLife & Disability coverage401(k) with matchPensionPaid Vacation (starting at 6 months)Paid HolidaysPaid Personal DaysThe Career You Will Build:Leadership trainingPromotional opportunitiesThe Impact You Will Make:We continue to build a better future for people, the plant, and our company!
