Job Summary: Under limited supervision, perform mechanical repairs or fabrication in a safe, effective and efficient manner. Essential Job Functions: Conducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintains a safe work record. Knowledge of drives, motors, sheaves and general mechanical operations Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing machinery Maintains a good attendance record Work rotating shifts of various lengths including weekends and holidays Work on call schedule Maintains good communication with all plant personnel. (Other shifts, departments and managers) Ability to understand and perform assigned job tasks easily and independently while flexible enough to work in team settings. Maintains good housekeeping and completes sanitation duties and paperwork as required. Conducts daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual inspections, reporting any problems noted. Willing to be trained to work various jobs within the facility Maintain documentation required to perform job duties May perform other duties as assigned. Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Education/Training: All required ADM safety, food safety, quality and environmental training Participate in company planned operations training Equipment training may include but not limited to JLG, forklift, Non-DOT truck, reach lift, etc Experience: Employee's safety record Communications/Interpersonal skills Job knowledge Positive contribution to team Quality of work Productivity Attendance and Punctuality Length of service with ADM (may be considered when other factors are equal) Housekeeping and sanitation habits. Special Skills: Leadership and Organizational skills Documentation skills Working Conditions: Ambient conditions - Hot or cold Temperatures Time Spent: Varies Atmosphere: Dust (Peanut - known allergen) and odor Protective clothing required: Uniforms, hardhats, earplugs, safety glasses, hair restraints, steel-toed shoes, gloves and safety harness may be required based on task performed Job specific PPE Work overtime as needed Physical Requirements: Occasionally move objects that weigh up to 55 LBS Must be able to sit or stand for prolong periods of time Move from area to area Transport Material Position self to conduct work at various heights Rotate body Crouch, squat and bend Ascend / descend from various levels (climb ladders and stairs) Repetitive use of hands Use broom, shovel and others tools to complete assignments ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
