Job Description:
Location: East Chicago, INMonday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pmWhat We're Looking For:As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will have a strong work ethic, be reliable and consider yourself a go-getter. This position is responsible for maintaining optimized maintenance inventory levels to prevent inventory shortages and overages. The role is fast paced and requires a high sense of urgency in order to support the maintenance department of a lean manufacturing facility. This position must maintain a professional relationship with internal and external customers while promoting company values.
  • Ability to interface with multi-faceted, cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in using maintenance planning and scheduling software - CMMS or inventory management experience preferred
  • Good knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
  • Familiarity with maintenance equipment and supplies procurement processes
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
A Day in the Life:
  • Developing and managing detailed maintenance schedules and work requests
  • Coordinating and scheduling all maintenance activities, including Preventative Maintenance, Corrective work orders & shutdowns
  • Ensuring that all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance performed, equipment condition, maintenance costs, and associated asset costs
  • Working with engineering and operations teams to plan and implement equipment modifications and upgrades
  • Procuring necessary maintenance supplies and equipment
  • Working with vendors and contractors as needed
  • Participating in the development and implementation of maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Oversee maintenance storeroom stocking levels and organization
  • Responsible for long-range as well as short-range planning. Long-range planning involves the regular analysis of backlog relative to available resources
