Job SummaryJoin the Soulsbyville Elementary School Team! Maintenance / Custodial position is oriented toward providing students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean environment. Under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation, responsibilities include: Preferred Bus Driver training upon hire. District will provide all paid trainings. 1.Keeping buildings and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean at all times. 2. Shovels, plows, and sands walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps, as appropriate. 3. Checks daily to ensure that all exit doors are unlocked, then locked properly at the end of the school day. 4. Sweeps, vacuums, mops classrooms daily and dust furniture. 5. Mops and disinfects bathrooms and sanitizes fixtures, drinking fountains daily. 6. Washes all windows on both sides at least annually and more frequently if necessary. 7. Keeps the grounds free from rubbish. 8. Performs such yard keeping chores as grass cutting, tree trimming, and the like, as necessary, to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition. 9. Keeps all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation. 10. Makes such minor building repairs according to capability. Requirements / Qualifications
