This position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including but not limited to cleaning, repairing, and maintaining the buildings and grounds to uphold our organization's standards and provide a welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors.Salary: Starting at $20 per hour, with benefits, based on experience and available fundingWhy You Want to Work at Annie MaloneAmazing leadership team who values employee mental health and well-beingEmployee appreciation days and eventsGreat sense of communityImpactful relationships with coworkersTeamwork in all departmentsDental, Vision, Medical, Short Term DisabilityMental health daysKey Responsibilities:Cleaning and Sanitization:Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in all areas of the facilities.Ensure restrooms are cleaned, stocked with supplies, and maintained in a sanitary condition.Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins regularly.Maintenance and Repairs:Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, repairing minor plumbing issues, and fixing broken fixtures or furniture.Report any major maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Facilities Manager promptly.Assist with the setup and takedown of furniture and equipment for events and meetings.Groundskeeping:Maintain outdoor areas by mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, and removing debris.Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking lots during inclement weather.Ensure proper disposal of landscaping waste and maintain outdoor storage areas.Safety and Security:Monitor the facilities for any safety hazards or security breaches and take appropriate action to address them.Assist with implementing safety protocols and emergency procedures as directed.Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and other safety equipment.Inventory and Supplies:Keep track of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment inventory and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of supplies and equipment.Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client records and program activities.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.3 years proven experience in custodial work, maintenance with multiple sites.Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.Basic understanding of maintenance and repair tasks.Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with staff, clients, and visitors.Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.Valid driver's license, insurance and reliable transportation required for positions covering multiple locations.Working Conditions:This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.Work environments may include indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to various weather conditions.The job may involve moderate physical exertion and exposure to cleaning chemicals and other substances.APPLICATION INFORMATIONAnnie Malone Children and Family Service Center provides equal employment and social service opportunity to all regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, ability, gender, gender identity, gender expression or sexual orientation.No phone calls please.
