Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Director of Maintenance to oversee our maintenance department for multiple plants, ensuring that all equipment and infrastructure are maintained to optimal performance levels. Your role will involve strategic planning, team management, budget oversight, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will lead a team of maintenance professionals and work closely with various departments to minimize downtime and enhance plant performance. Some of your key responsibilities will include:Developing and executing comprehensive maintenance strategies including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure plant reliability and efficiencyLeading, Managing, and Coaching the maintenance team, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvementOverseeing the maintenance budget, including resource allocation, cost control, and alignment with financial goalsEnsuring optimal performance of all plant machinery and equipment through scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination of major repairs or overhaulsManaging relationships with external contractors and suppliers, including contract negotiation, service oversight, and quality assuranceUtilizing Maintenance Management Systems, Predictive Analytics data, and performance metrics to monitor equipment effectiveness, identify improvement areas, and make informed maintenance decisionsImplementing emergency response plans to address equipment failures or other crises, minimizing operational disruptionIdentifying opportunities for process enhancements, including adopting new technologies or methodologies to improve maintenance efficiency and plant performanceRequired Qualifications:10 or more years of experience in Maintenance, in an industrial settingAt least 5 years of experience leading teams and individualsAt least 3 years of experience with Predictive Analytics in maintenanceWillingness and ability to travel as neededPreferred QualificationsIn-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in steel productionExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex maintenance issuesEffective communication skills for coordinating with various departments, vendors, and stakeholdersComprehensive understanding of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.Education:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is requiredAdvanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, CMRP) are a plusEquivalent Combination of Education and experience may be consideredWorking Conditions:Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidaysAbility to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plantBenefits:Health & PharmacyDental & VisionCritical IllnessFlexible Spending AccountsCompany Paid Life & AD&D InsuranceVoluntary Life & AD&D Insurance401(k) W/Company MatchShort-Term DisabilityVoluntary Long-Term DisabilityEmployee Assistance ProgramJob SummaryRequisition Number: MAINT010543Job Category: Manufacturing OpsSchedule: Full-Time
