Maintenance Electrician - 1st ShiftOverviewRESPONSIBILITIES * QUALIFICATIONS *COMPETENCIES:Qualifications:Valid Vermont Journeyman LicenseHigh school diplomaAssociate's degree a plusBachelor s degree preferredExperience with HMI equipment preferred (company will provide training)Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC experience preferred (company will provide training)Heavy industry experience with electrical systems and production equipment requiredTwo or more years of experience in electrical maintenance required.Proficiency in preventative maintenance systems is a plus.Ability to work long or odd hours on your feet and lift 50+ lbsCore Competencies:Journeyman license * PLC knowledge * Analytical Thinking * Problem Solving * Interpersonal Skills * Teamwork * Machinery Knowledge *Relationship Building * Planning and Organizing * Work Ethics and ValuesIn this role you will be responsible for the electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on various systems throughout the facility. The maintenance electrician will serve as a technical expert on control systems, HMI s, and material handling equipment as well as performing installation and modification of equipment on new projects. Duties include:Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues on the machinery and make repairsAbility to troubleshoot PLC issues on the machinery and make repairsEmergency and general maintenance activities, including weekend and off-shift workDevelop, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and make changes to HMI s, and controllersProject installation activities as assigned by the Process EngineerAnalyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in equipment and related components, diagnosing and correcting the problems quickly to avoid production delaysEnsure company safety procedures are being adhered toRegularly monitor & manage inventory levels for critical spare parts, and identify gapsComplete a regular (weekly) safety walkthrough and compile a facility report at the detail levelParticipate in all plant safety initiativesPrioritize and repair safety related issues as defined by the safety committee and/or STOP Card programProvide a regular (weekly) report of safety related repairs and status to the Process EngineerComplete computer-based training on a monthly basis or when assignedParticipate in the daily production meeting and provide an update of related activities to the teamParticipate in the weekly plant Wildly Important Goal (WIG) meeting and WIG related actionsCompliance with all policies, procedures, and rules as establishedEffective communication skills to communicate issues and solutions to cross-functional stakeholdersConsult/communicate regularly with all functional teams in the facilityMust be able to read instructions, 1-line diagrams, ladder logic, & manuals, and use meters, hand tools, and shop equipmentOther duties as assignedrecblid ipive20v00bxkwlbpkfd7fzzgor2f8
