Job Description:
Summary: Repairs and maintains electrical systems and equipment for production machinery and equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery, including control panels, circuits, motors, and sensors.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and servo systems to control machine operations.
  • Install and modify electrical wiring, components, and systems for new equipment or facility upgrades.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams to understand system configurations and troubleshoot issues.
  • Adhere to all electrical safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical maintenance technicians and other team members to ensure coordinated maintenance and problem-solving.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or Certificate in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school;
  • Three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficient in using electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and ammeters.
  • Must have a strong understanding of safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, electrical safety, hazard communication, and emergency response procedures.
  • Experience with industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • PLC programming software
  • Hand tools for general maintenance
