The Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the physical plant and building systems. As part of a world-renowned long-term care organization, you ll be responsible for maintaining life safety systems and critical equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair tasks on equipment within the physical plant.
- Ensure proper functionality of critical systems in a healthcare facility.
- Maintain accurate records and logbooks for life safety systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair air conditioning equipment containing over 50 pounds of refrigerant and related components.
- Fulfill duties assigned based on certifications and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D., or trade school diploma.
- Knowledgeable about HVAC systems, power plant operations, electrical distribution equipment, and plumbing systems.
- Minimum 5 years of boiler operator experience.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local codes and regulations.

- FDNY Certificate of Fitness - S-12, S-13, S-95, G-71, G-29, G-91
- FDNY Certificate of Qualification for Refrigerating Systems Operating Engineer (2-01 or Q-99)
