Job Description:

Imperium3 New York, Inc. (iM3NY) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Maintenance Engineer. This position will be responsible for the ensuring that machinery, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime, and reports to the Director of Facilities.

Imperium3 NY dba iM3NY is a startup Lithium Ion battery cell development and manufacturing company with HQ and high-volume manufacturing plant located in Endicott, NY. We have an advanced LMP cell that incorporates patented Bio Mineralization to create a BMLMP cell that leads the way in the category. We are well positioned for growth and expansion in the future by a well-conceived product road map with advanced chemistry for Gen 2 and Gen 3 products that are in advanced stages of research and development.

JOB DUTIES

* Conducting and overseeing maintenance process audits, diagnosing faults.

* Undertaking planned maintenance, establishing different maintenance procedures and protocols

* Train staff on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.

* Responding to major equipment breakdowns

* Forecasting and strategic planning for system overhauls and upgrades, while considering long-term maintenance costs

* Supervising other engineering and technical staff as needed

* Procuring, testing, and commissioning specialist components, fixtures, or fittings

* Working with the maintenance director and other executives to manage budgets.

* Setting and tracking maintenance KPIs

* Playing an active role in helping the organization set up and execute preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, or any other preferred maintenance program

* Strategize on maintenance, work instruction and methods.

* Create plant preventative maintenance procedures.

* Plan routine maintenance of plant equipment and machinery.

* Analyze breakdowns, diagnose faults, and supervise time critical equipment repairs.

* Offer technical expertise to management, maintenance people like supervisor, and technicians.

* Function as project development member to maintain new equipment.

* Help oversee and control maintenance costs.

* Manage budget for current and future equipment upgrades and replacements.

* Schedule and obtain project material and manpower.

* Check work-in-progress and during completion to meet specifications.

* Estimate costs on equipment, systems and structures repair or replacement.

* Support ongoing preventative maintenance program.

* Lean manufacturing processes, and principles.

SKILLS REQUIRED

* Proven understanding of PLCs

* Lean 6 Sigma

* Proven ability to perform the Job Duties listed above

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Previous work experience in Maintenance, ideally in a manufacturing setting

* Previous work experience in Manufacturing

* Previous experience with utilizing Inventory Management Systems

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering - or equivalent work experience - strongly preferred
