Summary:
Seeking a full-time Maintenance Engineer for a group of office buildings. This position requires a hands-on individual with a high level of initiative, motivation, and leadership capabilities. The Maintenance Engineer will perform light preventative maintenance and problem-solving on systems including, but not limited to, HVAC, energy management, plumbing, electrical, and life/safety systems. Professional conduct is essential to uphold the high standards expected in this role.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Strong background in all aspects of maintenance and repair, including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and painting.
- Proactively manage time and work independently.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly.
- Research and recommend cost-effective and efficient methods for operating and maintaining building systems.
- Exercise good judgment and professionalism when interacting with tenants and vendors.
- Obtain and review proposals for various aspects of property maintenance.
- Assist with the preparation and implementation of the property budget.
- Supervise vendors and manage supply inventory and purchasing.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Property Manager.

- On-call 24/7 to respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, power failures, flooding, or elevator entrapments.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience with mid-rise buildings or similar engineering roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of computers and energy management systems required; construction knowledge is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
