Our client are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with a proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment. This role emphasizes proactive maintenance, safety compliance, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on industrial equipment. Utilize diagnostic tools, schematics, and testing equipment to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, including electrical and hydraulic systems, to minimize downtime and improve long-term reliability. Recommend and implement equipment improvements for enhanced performance.
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, addressing critical breakdowns efficiently. Communicate significant issues to supervisors and team leads to ensure timely resolution.
- Manage spare parts inventory, order necessary components, and ensure critical items are readily available for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Mentor and train junior technicians and machine operators on maintenance best practices, safety procedures, and proper use of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, logs, and inventory documentation. Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards at all times.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks for repairs and equipment modifications. Support general building and facility maintenance as required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with experience in industrial equipment repair.
- Proficiency in reading technical schematics, including electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
- Experience with diagnostic tools, electrical testing equipment, and ladder logic.
- Familiarity with pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, and electronic controls.
