SummaryThe primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer is to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of equipment and machinery in various settings.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Vision, Missions, and Values of Allen Harim
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues
- Repair equipment to prevent downtime
- Planning and implementing maintenance schedules
- Conduct regular inspections and keep detailed records of maintenance activities
- Prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency and impact on operations
- Ensures all maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and incompliance with regulatory standards
- Maintains a safe working environment by ensuring equipment in good working order.
- Manages preventive maintenance program including a cost history on all equipment.
- Maintains permits for all pressure vessels throughout the facility.
- Recommends new equipment purchases when necessary.
- Maintains accurate records of equipment purchase, maintenance and history.
- Works closely with corporate engineers to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Develops solutions to maintenance problems that arise ensuring that chain speed remains at 100% and costs are controlled.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure high standards of work quality and safety
- All other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role or similar position is preferred.
- College Degree (e.g., engineering, manufacturing engineering) preferred
- Requires the ability to make decisions and remain calm under high stress situations
- Must be able to communicate with all levels of employees as well as outside vendors and government agencies
- Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role or similar position is preferred.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments is essential for effective troubleshooting
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong technical and mechanical skills
- In depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, safety regulations, and best practices
- Exceptional organizational, record keeping, and follow-up skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of computer applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High degree of attention to detail

- Must have the ability to enter all areas of the plant and offices being exposed to temperatures (hot and cold) as well as exposure to different levels of noise
- Must be able to walk upstairs, climb and crawl in confined spaces
- The maintenance manager may be required to work outside of regular business hours to address emergencies or perform critical maintenance tasks.

- Work environment is predominantly wet and exposed to a variety of odors as well as presenting hot and cold temperatures. Ice box storage and chilled warehouse conditions may be present with moderate to extreme levels of noise. Safety protection is provided.
