Job Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for all preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment located in the fab and plating areas. Maximum emphasis is placed on positive response to the concerns and
needs of the company and its environmental health and safety. This is a hands-on position that the
equipment maintenance technician works independently and is capable of being successful in a matrix
organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Installing and repairing pipes, fittings, valves and fixtures for potable water, chill water, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, vacuum systems and gas lines.
* Inspecting and diagnosing plumbing systems; pumps: boosters, recirculation, transfer, etc.
* Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading, and welding.
* Ability to thread pipes by hand or using a threading machine.
* Repair systems using various welding and plumbing techniques.
* Ability to weld (mig & tig), braze, mechanically or cement joints
* Read and interpret blueprints
* Layout and install piping systems per blueprints.
* Ability to fabricate metal components flat steel, angle, channel, tubing, pipe, etc.
* Ability to operate lifts (scissor, boom & forklifts)
* Rigging experience
* Capability to pass a D1.1 structural steel welding test
* Understands and ability to follow quality control procedures
* Follow all safety rules and guide lines.
* Work independently when performing assigned tasks.
* Maintain preventative operation of all production equipment.
* Perform preventative maintenance as instructed by the Computer Machine Maintenance System
* (CMMS).
* Complete work orders in the specified time, directed by the CMMS.
* Perform projects and other duties in a similar nature and complexity, as assigned by Manager.
Keep work area clean and presentable while performing assigned tasks.
* Safely use chemicals while performing assigned tasks.
* Lock/Out Tag Out of equipment when necessary, or instructed by Manager.
* Accountable for work performed.
* Perform Coolant tank Cleaning.
* Comply with company, quality, and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 3+ years experience in performing preventative and corrective maintenance on
semiconductor related equipment. Similar equipment experience will be considered.
* Able to troubleshoot electronic circuits to a component level.
* Experience with semiconductor processes and cleanroom controls, plasmas systems.
* Experience with vacuum metal deposition systems.
* Must have good computer, written and oral skills.
* Manual dexterity and visual acuity are required to perform responsibilities.
* Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
* Must be willing to work some weekends
Education and/or Experience:
* High School diploma/GED required
* 3 plus of preventative man
Language Skills:
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
* Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
* Ability to write simple correspondence.
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Computer Skills:
* Basic understanding of keyboard, monitor and hard drive, Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint).

Employee will come in frequent contact with various types of machine oils, lubricants, silicone, and latex.
