ABOUT THE ROLE Amsted Automotive Group, Shelby Twp, is seeking a Maintenance Facilities employee for the day shift ( 7 am - 3pm) who will be responsible for machine maintenance, building maintenance and general maintenance functions as outlined below. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Operate equipment as is required to keep floors, aisle ways, grounds, roadways, and sidewalks at a high standard of appearance
- Routine maintenance in internal and external facility
- Preventive maintenance of the floor scrubber, liquid handling pumps, vacuums, and other facilities maintenance related equipment
- Performs duties related to maintaining office areas
- Serves in the capacity of waste water handler commensurate with completion of proper training
- Adapt and promote lean manufacturing principals
- Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings
- Support the Company's Goals and Objectives
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Fork lift operator experience preferred
- Knowledge and ability to use basic hand tools
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision
- Possess working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria
- Previous experience in Maintenance Facilities, a plus

WHAT ELSE YOU'LL NEED TO KNOW
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with continuous exposure to noise
- Excellent manual dexterity with the ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds frequently
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service the lights and ceiling fans
- Work may require extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, bending, stooping and performing repetitive motion tasks
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with continuous exposure to noise
- Must be able to work necessary overtime if required
