Description:
- Provide management and leadership of all maintenance, robotics and tooling services required for a manufacturing facility.
- Full trouble shooting support to production departments to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
Job Duties/Responsibilities - (Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following):
- Provide supervision for department staff.
- Plan and schedule all maintenance department activities. This includes all scheduled, non-scheduled, predictive and preventive work.
- Accountable for managing and tracking KPIs as determined by the General Manager.
- In coordination with CIE and PIE, implementation of process improvement activities related to method and machines.
- Maintain accurate data in PMC for parts, identification numbers, all other pertinent information and vendor.
- Approve all maintenance and tool room purchases and spending.
- Assist maintenance and tool room personnel in locating or order of parts.
- Work with outside suppliers and vendors in delivering various services to the plant.
- Manage outside vendors associated with tooling repair and builds.
- Support new programs in planning and installation of equipment and debug as necessary.
- Maintain and enhance safety of employee and equipment by introducing safety controls and improved processes.
- Process invoices for payment
- Execute project work associated with new product launch, quality control, tooling, samples and process development.
- Participate in problem solving and customer complain resolution using quality tools, including root cause analysis, design of experiment, AI, PPAP, and capability studies.
- Organize work plan to address ETR (tool repair) requests from production. Create/prioritize urgent responses to repairs which effect on-time delivery.
- Design and build in-house all tools possible at reduced costs (focus on CNC fixtures).
- Assist Cost Engineer in tool quoting (develop fast estimating capability).
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Qualifications - (Requirements may be modified or amended for reasonable accommodations):
- Bachelors degree or work equivalent and two or more years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
- 5 or more years managing a maintenance team in a production environment.
- Demonstrated track record of process improvement and cost savings.
- Familiar with Quality Management System (QMS) for IATF requirements and Environmental Management System (EMS) for ISO 14001 (2015)
