Job Description:
- Perform on going preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other installed systems.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance as assigned.
- Diagnose and repair broken assets as assigned.
- Keep hand tools, power tools, and supplies organized and clean.
- Maintains, operates all systems and associated equipment, and monitor the building automation system.
- Perform general maintenance of facility equipment - lighting, plumbing, HVAC, boiler, air systems, ventilation, starch and coating silos, compressor and dryer systems, loading and unloading areas, fire and security systems, etc.
- Maintain accurate records of performed maintenance tasks.
- Follow safety precautions and adhere to the set schedule.
- Work with all contractors assigned to your work areas and make sure work is completed to DS smith's standards.
- Write all follow up notifications for work found on PM'S and corrective work that couldn't be completed.
- Communicate status of work to supervisor and close out work on SAP as assigned.
- Work with supervisor and planner to get work planned and scheduled for your areas.
- Complete a daily report in detail on all work assigned and completed each day.
- Perform duties in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures. Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other systems.
- Demonstrated experience as a facilities maintenance technician.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of hand tools
- Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
Education & Certifications:- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Related experience a plus but not required.
