About this role

What will you be responsible for?

Performing a wide variety of tasks related to the maintenance and operation of the building and grounds. Conducts scheduled inspections on facility safety systems, HVAC, plumbing and electrical. Performs a variety of duties to ensure that the building and division's daily operations function smoothly.

Your role will consist of

Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:

* Lead by example, in all Newmont's safety processes, ensuring safe practices are utilized while performing work.

* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, and other facility equipment.

* Replace filters, lubricate moving parts, and perform other preventative tasks to extend equipment life.

* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.

* Repair or replace faulty components as needed.

* Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

* Assist in the installation and maintenance of new equipment and systems.

* Comply with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.

* Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards promptly.

* Respond to emergency calls and address urgent maintenance issues, such as equipment failures or system breakdowns.

* Work outside of regular business hours as needed to resolve critical issues.

Experience:

* 2 to 5 years of on-the-job facility maintenance experience in mining or related industry is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

* Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

* Successful candidates must be able to show a good safety record and work history.

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Basic computer efficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook.

Working Conditions & Location

* Position based in the United States at the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine, located in Teller County Colorado.

* Must be willing to work 10-hour day shifts and occasional overtime as required.

* Must be able to work at high altitude.

* Must Willing to work indoors and outdoors as required for each task.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $59,120- 70,205. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
