TPG Maintenance Facility Support Personnel keeps Client interior buildings in clean and orderly condition. May perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Custodian Job Duties
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
- Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including automobiles and vans.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events and meetings.
Job Specifications Required
- A high school diploma or GED certificate.
- A valid driving license.
- Must be able to safely maneuver and operate all required motor vehicles assigned to this
- job function. These requirements may require on-site training furnished by the Client.
- Must have the physical and mental dexterity to handle all tools and service articles
- required for this position.
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
- Must demonstrate good team skills, and the ability to work with and learn from others.
