POSITION SUMMARY
As a Maintenance Intern, you will receive practical work experience to provide entry-level opportunities where you can nurture your technical skills in a manufacturing environment. You will have the opportunity to observe and participate in multiple projects. You will be paired with a Maintenance Technician to support your training and learning - they will also help connect the dots that exist between your technical education and the factory floor. This is important since our Maintenance Interns are enrolled students pursuing a degree or certificate in an electrical or mechanical type program, and who are able to work at least 16 hours per week as an intern.
* Mechanical support for the safe installation, assembly, and repair of machines, safety systems, mechanical drive mechanisms and associated parts
* Provide support for fabrication of various metals and welding (mig, tig, AC/DC, torch, brazing, etc)
* Support corporate and division Engineering and IT personnel with maintenance and installation of plant and corporate initiatives
* Adhere to all Safety and Nestl Purina manufacturing systems guidelines
Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED
* Attend Rochester Community and Technical College
* Full time enrollment in a technical program for Spring 2025 semester pursuing a diploma or degree in Facility and Service Technology through the technical college
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $28.23. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
