Job DetailsJob Location North Vernon - North Vernon, IN Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Salary Range $26.00 - $29.00 Hourly Travel Percentage None Job Shift Day Job Category Other Maintenance TechnicianJOB DESCRIPTION (Roles, Responsibilities, and Expectations) The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance and preventive maintenance of machines and equipment. Summary/Objective Works with the Maintenance team on repair and maintenance of machines and equipment. Essential Functions Mechanical knowledge of CNC Machines Mechanical knowledge of Injection Mold Presses Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines. Thoroughly cleans machines; machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance. Records and reports damaged, worn or broken parts. Orders and installs replacement parts for machines. Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines. Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently. Prepares reports documenting work performed. Cleans, organizes, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools and supplies. Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines. Competencies Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills. Works well independently and with others. Good communication skills Organized with attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Supervisory Responsibility None Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Prolonged periods standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull and move as needed to reach, clean and service machinery. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. On call as needed.
