Scope of Position The Maintenance Engineer worker is responsible for responding to engineering and maintenance related guest issues. The position performs regular preventive maintenance and periodic servicing of equipment and systems as directed by their supervisor and performs repair and maintain activities within the facility and its equipment as able and directed by their supervisor.
Hourly Staff Schedule Requirements All employees are kindly asked to understand that the property operation is 24 hours a day 7 days a week, inclusive of all holidays. While the company will make every attempt to create a work and life balance, all
hourly paid team members may be asked to work extended shifts and additional days based on business demands. The busiest of days during the season (Memorial Day through Columbus Day) are the weekend days from Friday through Sunday and on holiday weekends that are celebrated on Mondays, this can include Mondays. All seasonal staff must be aware and able to work all weekends; requesting time off for a holiday weekend may not and will likely not be granted. Reporting Relationship Internal: This position reports to the Front of House Manager and in his absence, the position reports to the Manager on Duty.

- Perform evaluations of engineering related issues and determine appropriate course of action to fix (internal or external).
- Repair and maintain facility and equipment as able and directed by supervisor.
- Obtain and maintain required certifications/licenses for position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience - College degree or equivalent work experience.
- General maintenance experience in areas such as, but not limited to painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry preferably in a hotel environment.
- Excellent diagnostics and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand a variety of engineering procedures and functions.
- Fluency in English both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy under pressure of tense/confrontational situations.
