We're looking for a motivated, positive individual to join Walters Wedding Estates and oversee the landscaping and maintenance of two stunning wedding venues in the Georgetown and Lago Vista area. If you love working outdoors and have a knack for keeping things running smoothly, this is the perfect opportunity for you! About the Role: As the go-to person for both venues, you'll be responsible for maintaining the exterior beauty and curb appeal of our properties, ensuring they're always in top shape for weddings and events. This includes routine lawn care, seasonal landscaping projects, and maintaining our breathtaking water features. You'll also handle light maintenance and handyman tasks to keep everything looking pristine and functioning perfectly. What You'll Be Doing: Landscaping duties: Mowing, edging, trimming, and weeding at both venues to ensure the grounds are always event-ready. Seasonal projects: Helping with special tasks like flower installations, mulching, and reseeding to keep the properties vibrant year-round. Water feature maintenance: Managing our serene water features, including cleaning, pressure washing, and pump maintenance. Routine maintenance: Performing minor repairs and upkeep tasks like changing air filters, replacing light bulbs, light plumbing, painting, and general handyman work to keep the venues in great shape. Locations: You'll be responsible for two venues located in Georgetown and Lago Vista, Texas. Pay: We're offering $20/hour for this role, with the expectation that you'll travel between the two venues as needed (and we'll pay for your drive time!). If you have additional skills such as plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, or carpentry, there's potential for further pay discussions based on your expertise. Hours: This is a part-time role, with 25-32 hours a week, depending on the season and your availability. With the flexibility to handle both venues, there's a possibility of working up to 32+ hours a week. What You Bring: - High School Diploma or GED. - Experience with general landscaping and maintenance tasks. - Comfort with basic handyman duties like light plumbing, painting, and repairs. - Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment. - Bonus if you've got certifications in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, or other trades!
