Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)The maintenance worker will perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required. Tasks include plumbing work, painting, flooring repair and upkeep, electrical repairs and heating and air conditioning system maintenance. Should be able to read blueprints and repair manuals.
- Perform various routine maintenance assignments and assist other maintenance personnel in the repair and maintenance of physical structures, equipment, and fixtures of the hospital and grounds.
- Work from written work request or verbal instructions from supervisors or manager
- Ability to prioritize work based on urgency, maintain necessary maintenance parts & supplies
- Provide light carpentry, plumbing & electrical repair/maintenance duties such as installation of shelves, repair of windows, screens, blinds, suspended ceilings, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, HVAC equipment
- Replacement of lighting lamps, HVAC filters, water filters, drain clearing, throughout off site clinical properties.
- Provide general maintenance service to Off campus sites, i.e., assembly of furniture and accessories
- Respond to emergency situations in the Medical center facilities as directed
- Maintain Vehicle, tools and equipment and work area in a stage, clean, and orderly condition
- Follow standard and prescribed safety regulations
- Completes all documents needed with established department policies and procedures
- Attend hospital sponsored training
- Assist maintenance department personnel as assigned by AVP, Director of Facilities/Facilities Manager/Supervisor
- Assist with snow removal as situation demands
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:1. Education: High School Diploma of Equivalent, Trade school diploma or certificate of training2. Experience (Type and Length): Five years recent experience in trade in residential, commercial, industrial, or healthcare organizations3. Certification/Licensure: Current New York Driver's License4. Software/Hardware:5. Others: NYFD Certificates of Fitness as needed or as need arises.6. VALID STATE DRIVERS LICENSE.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:- Position requires prolonged periods of standing, reaching, walking throughout the working day
- Position will be required to stoop, bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds
Salary Range: $55k - $60k
