Our culture is rooted in servant leadership, and we live by our Farmer Focus CARES values: Community, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Stewardship.How this role will be impactful Responsible for coordinating maintenance operations and ensure the smooth production operations and high safety standards; assigning, training and monitoring staff in accordance with company policies and government regulations.1. Coordinate preventative maintenance program and equipment and facilities repair for essential operations.
  • Maintain department performance within standards for efficient utilization of human resources and materials.
  • Seek new opportunities for continuous improvement in materials and processes, including lean manufacturing and TQM.
2. Ensure that routine equipment checks are being completed on all PLC's and essential equipment.3. Coordinate equipment and labor to optimize completion of projects, routine maintenance and necessary repairs.4. Ensure proper maintenance of refrigeration equipment, via the staff assigned to it. Responsible for maintenance and completion of PSM program.5. Supervise wastewater treatment operations, work towards highest standard of wastewater recycling. 6. Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, EEO, and other appropriate government regulations.7. Establish and maintain appropriate working relationships with other management personnel and USDA representatives.8. Perform other related responsibilities, as needed, to Farmer Focus business objectives.What You Bring to the Role
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Good problem solving skills and have basic math skills.
  • Ability to organize the tasks to be performed. Monitor and oversee quality of work being performed.
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Provide all hand tools needed to safely perform the job.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work with or near animal blood.
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Must be self motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to assist Maintenance Supervisor as needed

Work Environment: Required to access the poultry production environment. Must be able to tolerate the varying heat, wet, and chill of the plant. Hearing and eye protective equipment required in the production area.
