SUMMARY To plan and perform simultaneously multiple maintenance tasks under minimum supervision, to install, repair, and rebuild capital investments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities •Plan and perform numerous maintenance tasks under minimum supervision to install, repair, and rebuild machinery, equipment, buildings, and facilities by performing diversified operations. •Works from complex blueprints, job specifications, machine design drawings and handbook formulas to diagnose malfunctions and operating difficulties; effect repairs and adjustments, both temporary and permanent as necessary to minimize downtime. •Reads and interprets complex blueprints, job specifications, machine design drawings and handbook formulas to diagnose malfunctions and operating difficulties. •Duties require extensive experience and considerable knowledge of machinery technology and principles, tooling applications and mathematics. •Minimize downtime by performing effective repairs and adjustments, both temporary and permanent. •Perform basic welding tasks and operation of a cutting torch. •Pick-up / deliver machine maintenance parts, tools, and supplies as required. •Performs related duties as assigned. •Comply with all safety rules and regulations using extreme caution. Addendum B-2 Rev. 3 4/9/2021 •Duties require extensive experience and considerable knowledge of machinery technology, mechanical principles, mathematics and tooling applications as well as a high degree of skill to rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments; dismantle machines and equipment; layout repair parts; and perform skilled fitting and aligning of bearing, spindles and shafts, adjustment of feeding and limit mechanisms, gibs, and ways. •Working knowledge of electricity necessary to perform tasks needed for basic testing, repairing, and installation. •Also requires necessary welding skills to perform basic maintenance tasks, as required. Must pass appropriate welding test. •Cooperates and works with others. •Comply with all safety rules and regulations using extreme caution. •Working knowledge of electricity necessary to perform tasks needed for basic testing, repairing, and installation. •Keep work area and projects clean and orderly. Education and Experience Requirements •Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or general educational diploma (G.E.D.). •Three (3) years' experience preferred. •Must be capable of being certified as a forklift driver.
