SKF Specialty Balls Colebrook, manufactures precision bearing balls for Aerospace and Automotive industries. SKF Specialty Balls works closely with customers to develop customer solutions for their applications. This SKF Site is located in Winsted, CT.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate components and tooling to drawing specifications and prepare in-house certifications, when required. (basic operations)
• Modify / sharpen production tooling, as requested.
• Maintain inventories for spare parts, tooling, and supplies.
• Perform production equipment repair & modifications.
• Use of hand tools, power tools and other handheld tooling
• Blueprint reading and job planning.
• Assist with facility repairs and upgrades.
• Support the Preventive Maintenance Program
• Support improvement projects and programs.
• Support the EHS Program
• Assist in the control of plant operating supplies.
• Operate Fork Trucks.
• Other assigned tasks.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Mechanical background in automotive, machine repair, service technician and basic machining on drill press, lathe, and Bridgerport.
• Work in a safe manner at all times, alerting management of hazardous conditions.
• Assure satisfactory levels of cleanliness and housekeeping in all assigned areas.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal, and organizational skills.
• Assure Confidentiality of proprietary or sensitive information.
• This individual must be level headed, self-motivated, safety conscious, and able to work with minimum supervision in a team environment.
