Here is your opportunity to help on the Dayton team that manufactures millions of beverage can ends per day.Job AccountabilitiesThe Maintenance Machinist duties include, but not limited to:Must have significant experience in operating production machinesDiagnoses or troubleshoots machines or equipment to determine malfunction and the need for adjustment or repairPerforms mechanical repairs and maintenance on various types of equipmentLubricates and cleans parts, installs, moves, sets-up and operates all types of equipment and machine toolsMinimum requirements include, but not limited to:Safety orientatedCurrently holds a journeyman machinists card OR the equivalent of 6 years direct machinist experienceFull understanding of manual lathes, surface grinders, and related shop equipmentGood mathematical skillsMust pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.Possess a team orientated attitudeProficient with micrometers, calipers and indicatorsA good mechanical aptitude and background is a mustMust be able to lift 50 lbsMust be willing to work 12-hour shifts and rotating schedulePhysical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.The team member frequently is required to climb or balance and talk or hear.The team member is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.EEO/AA/Vets/Disabled
