Job Description:

Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join their team. We are searching for a Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of facility maintenance and ensure optimal operation. You'll provide direction to a team of technicians, manage inventory, and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all maintenance activities, including internal and external resources. This involves scheduling preventative maintenance, repairs, and coordinating services from contractors.

  • Supervise all maintenance technicians across shifts, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

  • Manage the storeroom, maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring proper checkout and usage of spare parts.

  • Be the first responder for plant emergencies, including fires, equipment failures, and chemical spills.

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.

  • Lead the creation and execution of training programs to ensure technicians possess the necessary skills for their roles.

  • Foster a culture of safety within the team, integrating proper documentation and 5S principles into all repairs and projects.

  • Track work order records and maintain accurate timekeeping data.

  • Provide support to other departments as needed.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, including hiring, training, motivating, and disciplining team members.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field, with 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, with mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.

  • Excellent communication, time management, and training skills.

  • Confined space and hazardous materials certifications preferred.

  • Forklift truck license a plus.
