Job Description:

Position Description: Manage and assist in the completion of the day-to-day activities, involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery including HVAC, building lighting systems, production lines, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance. Supervise and coordinate the work of employees who repair and maintain building/facility, equipment and machinery. Oversee engineering, design and installation phases of new equipment, line upgrades, and other capital projects. Manage the preventative maintenance and Maintenance Work Order Systems. Reports To: General Manager of Maintenance Scope of Responsibility: * Communicating goals and deadlines to team members. * Planning workloads and delegating tasks. * Creating a productive work environment for the team using gamification, trust, and other appropriate strategies. * Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness for the Maintenance Team. * Prepare work schedules, assign work, and oversee the work product (while minimizing overtime and call-in hours). * Coach, counsel and manage performance of direct reports. * Develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance Schedule program for applicable equipment, machinery, forklifts, shipping vehicles, etc. * Arrange for and manage, appropriate third-party contractor support, as needed * Lead problem solving to correct operational issues. * Effectively help in maintaining a plant where OSHA regulations are met through maintaining machinery in a safe operating condition. Ensure that maintenance staff does not take shortcuts at the expense of safety. * Direct maintenance personnel and hourly maintenance associates in their roles and responsibilities to meet plant objectives in safety, quality, cost, customer service and continuous improvement initiatives. * Maintains inventory of tools, parts, and supplies to support the plant and plant operations. * Provide team leadership consistent with company vision, mission, RAPIDC principles to the department. * Communicate daily with the Plant Superintendent and internal personnel from Production and Quality Control in order to assist in resolving problems and achieving company goals. * Manage the work order system designed to establish priority and control over maintenance requests from plant personnel. Ensures that work order requests are completed in a timely fashion. * Manages documentation for OSHA inspection requirements. * All other reasonable duties, as assigned. * Performs all other duties as assigned by the General Manager of Maintenance. Skills and Qualifications: We seek detailoriented, independent selfstarters who demonstrate an unwavering commitment to raising grow achievement and who have a record of high performance in challenging situations. Successful candidates will also demonstrate: * Proven experience as maintenance manager or another managerial role. * Experience in planning maintenance operations * Logical and abstract thinking. * Solid understanding of technical aspects of electrical control, PLC & HMI (Allen Bradley) programming, CNC systems, Servos systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, HVAC, plumbing, industrial electricity, etc * Knowledge in safety, inspection and maintenance on overhead cranes. * Knowledge of 5'S, Kanban and Poke-yoke programs. * Knowledge on hooks and chain inspections per OSHA. * Basic machining concepts (leather, mill, surface grinding, boring mill). * Working knowledge of facilities machines, equipment, and buildings. * Ability to manage multiple complicated priorities/tasks. * Successful completion of an accredited management training program a plus. * Proven experience in working with any maintenance software. * BS degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering or related field * Strong communication skills in multiple settings and the ability to be an engaging change agent and culture-creator that can inspire and motivate. * Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions and recommendations. * Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS or related software as needed to complete reports, logs, and inventory. * Collaborate management style, with a proven track record of working with diverse individuals at all levels to drive decision-making and results. * At least 8 years of industrial maintenance experience. Physical Involvement Standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds is sometimes required. Must possess mobility skills necessary to access a variety of work areas. Schedule * Day Shift * Monday – Friday * Saturday and Sunday as needed. * Limited overtime available. * Compensation This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
