JOB DESCRIPTIONTitle: Maintenance ManagerDepartment: Maintenance StaffReports To: Operations ManagerPOSITION INFORMATIONThe Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintenance, repair and replacement of all plant machinery, buildings, and grounds. Must provide oversight to assure the safe and efficient operation of all plant machinery and document all work performed.BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • All maintenance, repair and replacement of all plant machinery (washers, dryers, steam tunnel, heat reclaimers, boilers, HVAC, conveyors, water softeners, etc).
  • Ability to use maintenance software to carry on preventative and predictive maintenance and generate reports for upper management.
  • Supervise personnel to schedule preventive and break-down maintenance. Daily accuracy and productivity of work is necessary for inventory control and accountability.
  • Oversee the company's safety program and insure compliance with applicable policies and regulations as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Monitor and control the company's utility usage for maximum efficiency. Provide regular reports to management.
  • Oversee the janitorial department and ensure the facility remains clean and well organized both inside and outside. Evaluate cleanliness on a regular basis. Communicate findings to management and janitorial personnel.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations that affect plant operations, including wastewater treatment.
  • Supervision of maintenance and janitorial employees including providing feedback on performance and conducting annual performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the maintenance of City's vehicles by administering the fleet management program.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • This position requires regular and reliable attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years experience in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair required.
  • Bachelor's degree, Technical diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • 3-5 years experience in management preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONSThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
