Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of all facility equipment, HVAC, structure and grounds directly or through professional contract staff. Facility equipment includes heat treat furnaces, conveyor equipment, washers, air compressors, shop blast equipment, salt bath/coating production line, gas generators, air dryers, etc. The core responsibilities of this role include:
- direct management of five maintenance technicians
- the maintenance of the spare part and supply inventory system through our CMMS
- effective and accurate trouble-shooting methods of repair for equipment, root cause analysis of malfunction and options for remediation
- monitoring of maintenance records; including vendor history, contractors, project costs, etc.
- the partnering with purchasing for parts orders efficiency, expediency, and cost effectiveness
- the creation and implementation of an ongoing preventative maintenance system
- the initiation, implementation, and participation in capital investment assessment, improvement, and business strategy planning
- the participation in team meetings to provide updates on current and upcoming maintenance demands and projects
- response to maintenance tickets and the timely execution to resolve the same
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
- A high school education or equivalent.
- A strong mechanical aptitude; working knowledge of electrical systems would be an advantage
- Working knowledge of maintenance systems/software
- 7 years experience in a maintenance role in a production/manufacturing environment with machinery are mandatory
- Minimum 3 years experience staff supervision as a Manager
- Must be strategic in their thinking, able to swiftly shift priorities and execute as needed
- Experience reading/comprehending blue prints and wiring diagrams is necessary
- Willing to travel to customer locations to assist in contractor management up to 1 week four times per year and a twice/month day trip is necessary
- Knowledge of PLC's is desirable
- Current safety practices and willingness to obtain company sponsored training upon hire
This is an exempt position; however, does require some evening and/or weekend work as the need arises. The target compensation for this position is $110,000 and varies depending upon experience.
