Job Description:

PTS is partnering with a Global Leader in Chemical Manufacturing to identify a Maintenance Manager for one of the organization's flagship locations.

As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing, planning, and managing the daily operations of the Maintenance department. Your role will be to maintain and enhance the plant's infrastructure while fostering an environment that supports safety, service, and operational excellence.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Build strong working relationships with vendors, contractors, consultants, staff, and employees.
  • Oversee maintenance activities in the nitrate buildings and cord manufacturing areas.
  • Lead and promote a commitment to zero injuries through behavior-based safety initiatives.
  • Support manufacturing excellence initiatives, ensuring engagement across all areas of responsibility.
  • Maximize plant operating efficiency within your area of responsibility.
  • Manage operations within the approved budget for controllable costs.
  • Participate in the annual budget process and develop budgets for your areas of responsibility.
  • Contribute to the development CAPEX spending initiatives.
  • Handle personnel matters such as scheduling, recognition, rewards, and discipline.
  • Ensure daily inspections are conducted to verify the proper operation and condition of plant processes and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization by implementing and sustaining the 5S System, addressing any issues as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to handle repairs and modifications, ensuring effective Active Work Order Management in your areas of responsibility.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in an Engineering discipline preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience managing within an industrial, chemical, or manufacturing environment.
  • 7+ years of maintenance experience within industrial, chemicals, or manufacturing.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in all of the various processes associated with manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Maintenance Module required.
