About the Role:

Position Mission: Implementing proactive and predictive maintenance strategies, overseeing a maintenance team, and optimizing the use of resources to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation of mechanical and electrical maintenance systems and managing modification and improvement projects.
  • Responsible for reliability efforts for the plant and coordinate those activities required to meet the plant and company's reliability objectives.
  • Manage the allocation of mechanical and electrical maintenance resources and develop and control the plant's maintenance budget to provide an efficient and cost-effective operation.
  • Coordinate plant projects and shutdowns with overall maintenance capital projects to ensure the timely and quality completion of the project and minimize downtime.
  • Development of the overall maintenance plan to maximize productivity and minimize downtime by using sound and proven preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance techniques, technologies, and programs.
  • Proactively manage health & safety of employees to continuously improve the company's health & safety performance.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to the personnel of the mechanical and electrical maintenance function and control system.
  • Assess and obtain technical expertise to assist the production, process, and maintenance departments in the optimization of equipment and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance support to the plant for all shifts by managing the plant's maintenance on-call program. This includes evaluating and determining the course of action for maintenance incidents after hours and on weekends and may require on-site supervision of the resolution to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Provide continuous development and improvement of plant personnel through training, mentoring, and problem-solving guidance to ensure highly motivated and skilled personnel.
  • Develop a long-term vision for the Maintenance Department that is consistent with the direction and goals of the plant that works towards continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

A bachelor's degree in engineering is required. Statistics, planning, SAP, Project, Excel, AutoCad. Minimum of 10 years of plant electrical and mechanical maintenance experience. Cement or mining plant experience preferred. Knowledge of maintenance activities and blueprint reading.

Pay Range $139,000-170,000
